Inclusivity

This community is dedicated to men working with other men to overcome challenges faced by men in overcoming patriarchy and finding healthy expressions of masculinity. We have set aside a space to work through issues from a specifically male perspective, which may be triggering or upsetting to discuss frankly in more diverse spaces.

We are welcoming to transgender men and others who have a relationship with masculinity and a desire to explore it – we encourage you to join us. Many transgender men experience difficulty coming to terms with masculinity given their unique experience under patriarchy. We are happy to help you find ways to be comfortable in your masculine identity, without the toxic baggage. However, we wish to warn trans men in particular that our community is inclusive of cisgendered men, specifically including those who are working through problems such as internalized transphobia. We are a moderated community that does not tolerate expressions of bigoted beliefs, but we do strive to provide a safe space to talk frankly about issues like internalized transphobia. Be aware that these discussions may be triggering. However, you are encouraged to set boundaries, express your own feelings and seek support, and excuse yourself from uncomfortable discussions if you need.
